The Mitsubishi ASX
has always commanded attention but, in its new guise, it stands out even more.
Ready to tackle even the toughest challenges, it takes every drive to the next
level – whether you’re going on a family picnic or heading out on a country adventure.
The 2019 ASX boasts extensive updates to its front end, sporting the dynamic shield front grille, which gives an impression of sporty confidence. The bonnet takes on a clamshell design, while the headlights have been split, keeping the main beams and indicators separate. This improves clarity for oncoming traffic. At the rear, the T-shaped LED lights accentuate the SUV’s wide stance, and the powerful look is finished with 18-inch, two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin feels more sophisticated, offering a new black roof lining, a choice of cloth or leather upholstery, and piano black finished trim. As you’d expect, space is ample, with plenty of room for adults and kids alike to get comfy in the back. The centre console, meanwhile, is dominated by the 8.0-inch touchscreen display, which offer smartphone integration and can be controlled via the steering wheel mounted buttons or with voice commands. Top spec models add TomTom navigation too.
The new 2019 Mitsubishi ASX brings a new powertrain to the mix too. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 150hp, making this model 30% stronger than its predecessor, and can be mated to five-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission depending on your preference. Choose the former for swifter acceleration, or the latter for smooth motorway cruising. The extra pull means a larger towing capacity too, with the total reaching 1,300kg.
Keeping you stable and in control over any terrain is the electronically controlled all-wheel drive system – available on range topping Dynamic models – which enables you to take on harsh conditions and rugged environments with confidence.
As a model that can happily accommodate families, the 2019 Mitsubishi ASX is equipped with all the latest features to keep everyone aboard safe and sound. Not only will you benefit from essentials such as stability control and Brake Assist, there’s plenty of technology to keep a look out around and behind you too.
Blind spot warning, for example, makes for safer lane changing, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert ensures reversing out of parking spaces is simpler. Plus, with a full complement of airbags fitted as standard, you can be sure of maximum protection should the worst occur.
